Wylie Burke Groves

Wylie Burke Groves, age 70, passed away December 16, 2025. He was a graduate of Warren Central High School and continued his education at Mississippi State University with a BA degree in Civil Engineering. He worked over 30 years for the US Army Corps of Engineers. In his spare time he could be found on his favorite golf course or fishing spot. He was a loving father to his four children, Pop Pop to his grandkids, and friend to many who will be dearly missed. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Bonita Groves; parents, Wilma Jean Harbaugh and Benton Whitaker Groves.  

Those left to cherish his memory include his four children, Weston Groves, Bruce (Hilary) Groves, Richard (Tianna) Groves, and Anna Groves; grandchildren, Brianna Mcclamroch, Weston Groves, Jr., Zoey Groves, Lilian Groves, Emma Groves, Owen Groves, Wyatt Groves, Connor Groves, Rylen Groves, and Parker Groves; siblings, Kate (Kent) Dahl, Jo Borup, Russ (Trinity) Groves, and Benji Groves; aunt, Jan (Nobe) Robertson; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.         

The Visitation will be Sunday, December 21, 2025 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Monday, December 22 2025 beginning at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
