Wilson Strickland, age 83, passed away May 14,2021. He was a talkative, friendly person who never met a stranger. He was a logger who enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. He also greatly enjoyed growing fruits and vegetables in his garden and generously shared them with everyone. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his infant son, Randy Strickland; parents, Coy and Modia Strickland; brothers, Edward Strickland, Ivan Strickland, Cecil Strickland and Tom Edgar Strickland; sister, Minnie Armour and daughter- in- law Cecile Strickland.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Danny (Theresa) Strickland, Michael Strickland; sister, Mary (Joe) Peterson; grandchildren, Jason (Amy) Strickland, Brian (Ashley) Strickland, Corey (Lori) Strickland, Alaina (Quincy) Strickland, Clay (Amy) Strickland, Anna Scott, Nikki Miller, Lance McLain; 28 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends.
The visitation for Wilson Strickland will be Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Johnson Creek Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will follow beginning at 12:00 PM with Bro. Johnny Coaker officiating. Burial will follow at Johnson Creek Baptist cemetery. Pallbearers include Randy Strickland, Todd Strickland, Donald Wayne Strickland, Kenneth Strickland, Brian Strickland and Jason Strickland. Honorary Pallbearers are Chad Miller, Matthew Crawford, Brandon McILwain and Chris McILwain.
