Willie "Pete" Merl Williams

Willie Merl “Pete” Williams, age 82, passed away January 10, 2023. He proudly served in the United States Army where he served in Vietnam as a Seargent. After his time there, he returned to Ft. Riley, Kansas for the remainder of his time in the military. He greatly enjoyed tinkering and gardening.     

He is preceded in death by his wife, Alva Lucille “Kat” Goff Williams; daughter, Lenda “Nena” Williams Bridges; parents, Benjamin Aldon Williams and Zeolo McDonald Williams; grandson, Robbie Bridges; brother, Aldon Williams; sister and brother-in-law, Jean (Mac) McCallom; son-in-law, Sebastian Garcia.    

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Ruth (Mitchell) Davis and Mazie Garcia; son, Benjamin (Stephanie) Williams; son-in-law, David (Julie) Bridges; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Jesse (Betty) Williams, Emery (Ann) Williams and Don Williams; sister-in-law; Ina Williams; numerous other relatives and friends. 

The Visitation for Willie Merl “Pete” Williams will be Monday, January 16, 2023 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. While flowers are welcome, the family ask for fruit trees that they will plant in his honor.
