Walter H. Davis, Sr was born July 28, 1950 to Hilry Covington and Hazel Maxine Davis in George County, Mississippi. He was a great man that lived his life for his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He worked for AT & V for 34 years and Alabama Dry Docks before that.
He was preceded in death by his parents, H. C. “Cubby” and Hazel Maxine Davis; grandparents, Velma and Walter Havard and Thomas and Georgie Davis.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Brenda Taylor; children, Laura Danniel Crimm, Carmen Davis Martinez, Walter Hilry (Rhonda) Davis, II, William Henry (Lindsey) Davis, Jennifer (John) Spencer; grandchildren, Samantha (Dylan) Hobby, Juan (Chelsea) Davis, Tate (Jordan) Davis, Selina Martinez, Rebekah (Dylan) Holifield, Gabby (Ryan) Courtney, Kalee Parnell, Madison Davis, William Davis Jr, and Emily Davis, Wade Fincher and Mason Fincher; great grandchildren, Brooks, Gannon and Andalyn Hobby, Easton, Emma and Elena Davis, Landen, Everleigh and Oliver Davis, Olivia Martinez, Jourdan Weaver, Jalee Holifield, Elijah and Sara Grace Spencer; siblings, Sandra McLeod, Brenda Bonnell, George (Lisa) Davis, H. C. "Jr" (Sam) Davis, and Velma (Rick) Vannatter.
Visitation will be Friday, September 26, 2025 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral will be Saturday, September 27, 2025 beginning at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Willie Oldenquist officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include, Kenny Davis, Eddie Davis, Phillip Henderson, Tate Davis, Juan Davis, and Dylan Hobby. Honorary pallbearers are Ryan Courtney and Dylan Holifield.
