Virginia "Jenny" Lea Seward

Virginia Lea “Jenny” Seward, age 76, passed away July 22, 2023. She was a 1965 graduate of Murphy High School. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Jenny was a member of The Church of His Presence, a devoted wife, loving mother, Mawmaw, dear friend and a Prayer Warrior who will be greatly missed.              

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Eugene and Virginia Irene Glover; sister, Charlene King; paternal grandparents, Mitchell Stanley and Bessie Glover; maternal grandparents, Braxton and Essie Williams.  

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 58 years, William D. “Bill” Seward, Sr.; sons, Dale (Mary) Seward and Gene (Lynn) Seward; grandchildren, Jacob (Tori) Seward, Kristin (Grant) Adkins, Rachel Seward, Carlee Seward and Brandon Seward; great grandchildren, Bradlee Seward, Kaylee Seward, Bear Adkins and Braxton Seward due in September; brother, Mickey (Nina) Glover; sister, Beth (Rickey) Langley; brothers-in-law, Charley (Debbie) King, Bud (Rita) Seward; Sister-in-law, Diana (Jimmy) McDuffie; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.        

The Visitation will be Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Tanner Williams Holiness Church. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM in the church sanctuary with Bro. Jimmy McDuffie officiating. Burial will follow in Joyner Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jacob Seward, Andrew Seward, Grant Adkins, Chance Brown, RJ Cardenas and Coulter McDuffie.
