Virgie Mae Wells, age 75, passed away October 26, 2023. She was a member of Refuge United Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and dear friend.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Wells; parents, William “Bill” Cromwell and Dorothy Mae Watts; siblings, Eva Murphy, Lucile Stewart, Darlene Cromwell, Peggy Murphy and Donnie Cromwell.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Denise (Craig) Ivey, Tammie (Johnny) Davis and Matt (Tashina) Wells; grandchildren, Johnathon (Tabitha) Davis, Dana Tanner, Tony (Shandy) Eubanks, Kayla (Jake) Merritt, Hunter (Hannah) Wells, Dakota (Ashley) Wells, Cam (Deanna) Baria, Gauge Wells, Chyenne (Jake) Wells, Mackenzie Wells, Taylor Hoda and Kevin Davis, Monica (Joe) Gee; great grandchildren, Titus Eubanks, Sawyer Eubanks, Penelope Grace Eubanks, Keyton Eubanks, Taylia Heiden, Marcus Davis, Victor Davis, Rayne Tanner, Eli Merritt, Nate Davis, Chase Davis, Margie Mae Merritt, Kinsley Merritt, Maddox Davis, Wyatt Davis, Weston Davis, Keegan Baria, Elias Gibson, Stella Wells, Ryker Wells, Zoe Gee, JJ Gee and Ramsey Davis on the way; siblings, Rayford Cromwell, Jimmy Cromwell and Patricia Knotts; numerous other relatives and friends.
The Visitation will be Monday, October 30, 2023 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Stephen Crigler officiating. Burial will follow in Refuge United Methodist Church cemetery. Pallbearers include Johnathon Davis, Tony Eubanks, Dakota Wells, Hunter Wells, Gauge Wells and Cam Baria. Honorary Pallbearers include Johnny Davis and Craig Ivey.
