Vera Nell (Hataway) Catlett

Vera Nell Hataway Catlett, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 2, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was a 1952 Graduate of Agricola High School and worked over 20 years as a legal secretary. She was a member of Riverside Full Gospel Church. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, crafting, reading, and shopping. She was a devoted wife to her husband of 73 years, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Richard Hataway and Lillie Knight Hataway; all her siblings, Benjamin Richard Hataway, Jr., Lillie Voncile Hataway Lamb, Larry Matthew Hataway, and James Danny Hataway; great grandchild, Annah Faith Cochran.    

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Donald Catlett; daughters, Donna Catlett (John) Cortopassi, and Kathy Catlett (Don) Cochran; grandchildren, Ben, Josh, and Andrew Cortopassi, Micah, and Joel Cochran, and Sara Cochran Shorrosh; great grandchildren, Kade, Madison, Bryce, Ethan, Wyatt, Ezekiel, Stella, Raegan, Eden, Eliah, Emma, Louis, and Nico; great-great grandchildren, Paisley, Cannon, Gemma, and Brytleigh; numerous other relatives and friends.

The Visitation will be Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM Wednesday, August 6, 2025 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Don Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Pallbearers include Micah Cochran, Ben Cortopassi, Meisho Shorrosh, Joel Cochran, Josh Cortopassi, and Andrew Cortopassi.
