Vaughty Edward Shepheard Obituary
Vaughty Edward Shepheard, age 61, passed away June 13, 2026. He worked hard as a carpenter for Lucedale Forestry Products LLC. He often described himself as a “jack of all trades, master of none.” He enjoyed finding hidden treasures in others’ junk, an avid collector. He was a hard-working family man, a devoted husband, loving father and Pop to his grandbabies who loved and will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Laurvine Shepheard; sisters, Laverne Smith and Margie Davis.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Melissa Ann Tingle; step children, Matt Tingle, and Kendall (Bridgett) Tingle; grandchildren, Dalton Tingle, and Kelsey Tingle; siblings, Henry Shepheard, Wanda Hall (the late Arnold Hall), Chris (Jewell Marie) Shepheard, Terry Lyne (Wayne) Moody, and Tracy (Robbie) Davis; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Visitation will be Wednesday, June 17, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Josh Ivey and Bro. Ken Hembree officiating. Burial will follow in Prine Cemetery. Pallbearers include Tracy Davis, Ricardo Pascualm, Chevy Ables, Jessie Greene, Kendell Tingle, and Johnny Davis. Mike Laddner will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer. Posthumous honorary pallbearers include the late Terry Kelly, and Jerome Blackston.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of George County Regional Health System, George County Rehabilitation Center, and Gentiva Hospice for the exceptional care, compassion, and support they provided.
