Van Edward Howell

Van Edward Howell, age 75, passed away at home October 19, 2024 surrounded by his family. He proudly served in the 1st Air Calvary Division in the United States Army. He was a member of the Rocky Creek church of Christ. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. His greatest joy was time with his family, grand kids, and great grandkids. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend.             

He is preceded in death by his son, Brian Edward Howell; parents, Van R. Howell and Nora Mae Howell; sister, Ilona Mae Graham.     

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 56 years Adrienne Howell; son, Leonard Heath (Melissa) Howell; grandchildren, Gabrielle (Hunter) Thomas, Rance Howell, Brian E. Howell, II, Brett Howell, Brayden Howell, Brittany Trusler and Brianna Trusler; eleven great grandchildren, numerous other relatives, and friends.    

The Visitation will be Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Stephen Crigler officiating. Burial will follow in Junior Ott Family Cemetery. Pallbearers include Leonard Heath Howell, Brian E. Howell, II, Brett Howell, Brayden Howell, Rance Howell, and Hunter Thomas. Honorary Pallbearer includes C.J. Thomas.
