Travis Lamar “Ruter” Coleman of Big Point, Mississippi passed away at Singing River Hospital on Friday, November 12, 2021. He was 67 years of age. Born on July 27, 1954 to Vera and Felix Coleman of Big Point. He enjoyed fishing, coon hunting and gardening. He loved watching his grandson play ball.
Travis is preceded in death by his parents Felix Lamar Coleman and Vera Edith (Long) Coleman; sister, Lillian Morris; brothers, Clifton “Buster” Coleman and Lonnie “Buck” Coleman; daughter, Stacey Coleman and grandson, Ethan Lyons.
Those left to cherish his memory include children, Michael D. Coleman, Jeremy “Adam” (Lindsey) Coleman and Letisha Coleman; sisters, Ethel Mae Green, Virginia “Ginger” Kirkland, Edith (Edward) Landrum, Darlene (Jerry) Allen, Ida (John) McPeek, Jr. and Janice Brannan; brothers, James “Winky” Coleman, Paul (Angela) Coleman and Kenneth “Tiny” (Dee) Coleman; aunts, Pearl Langston and Alma Henry; uncle, Tom (Gloria) Long; grandchildren, Felicity Slater, Trevor Slater, Drevon Church, Trey Church, Hagen Coleman, Rylen Coleman, Bethany Byrd, Stephan Coleman and Andrew Peters; along with many other family and friends.
The Visitation for Travis Lamar “Ruter” Coleman will be Monday, November 15, 2021 from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 10:30 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Big Point Cemetery in Big Point, Mississippi. Pallbearers include his nephews, Lamar Green, John Woodcock, John McPeek, III, Patrick Coleman, Paul “Bo” Coleman, Robert Coleman and Chan Coleman.
