Tony Holifield, age 51, passed away November 7, 2020. He worked as a law enforcement officer in Greene, George and many other areas. He retired after 20 years of service. He greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert “Terry” Holifield; maternal grandfather, Sam Havard; maternal grandmother, Idell Havard; paternal grandmother, Mamie Holifield and paternal grandfather, Lum Holifield.
Left to cherish his memory include his mother, Betty Holifield; daughter, Emily Ann (Garrett) Boykin; son, Caleb (Makayla) Holifield; grandchildren, Dustin, Destiny, Brooklyn, Dayton, Eli and Jameson; siblings, Richard (Melissa) Holifield and Chrissie Holifield Pursell; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Visitation for Tony Holifield will be Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home LEAKESVILLE location (formerly Freeman Funeral Home). The Funeral Service will be Thursday, November 12, 2020 beginning at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Rhymes Missionary Baptist church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Richard Holifield, Garrett Boykin, Caleb Holifield, Jessie Pursell, Matthew Davis, Mike Ready, and honorary pallbearer, Ikey Byrd.
