Thomas "Eddie" Hite

Thomas Edwin “Eddie” Hite, age 77, passed away March 13, 2025. He retired from Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding after many dedicated years as an equipment operator. He enjoyed watching TV, collecting guns and knives. All who knew him would agree he had a kind and gentle heart. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who was loved by so many.                

He is preceded in death by his parents, Woodson and Lucille Hite; brothers, William A. Hite and John W. Hite

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 51 years, Darlene Bishop Hite; children, Kimberly Darlene Hite, Dallas (Angela) Hite; grandchildren, Joseph Dallas Hite, McKenzie Raeliegh Hite (Conner) Dunlap; great grandson, Walker Reed Dunlap; sister, Julie (Lonnie) Porter; brothers, Jerry Hite and Josh Hite; a very special friend, Mike “Ole Man” Hearndon; a host of nieces, nephews, numerous other relatives and friends.  

The Visitation will be Monday, Marh 17, 2025 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, March 18, 2025 beginning at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Nathan Bryant and Bro. Larry Havard officiating. Burial will follow in Holmes Missionary Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers include Timmy Bishop, Mikie Hearndon, Jamie Hearndon, Josh Hite, Woody Hite, and Joseph “Dude” Hite. Honorary Pallbearers include Mike Hearndon, Charles Bishop, Blaine Hayaski, Daniel Hite, Jerry Lee Hite, Conner Dunlap and Adam Hearndon.
