Sylvia Dickerson Morgan, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025, at the age of 71. She was born on January 13, 1954, in Pascagoula, MS to Robert B. & Willie Mae Dickerson of Big Point, MS, who instilled in her the values of faith, family, and hard work that guided her throughout her life.
Sylvia was known for her generous heart, quick smile, and unwavering dedication to her family. She devoted and centered much of her life to her family, where she touched countless lives with her kindness, patience, and wisdom.
She married William Louis Morgan (Bill) on January 15, 1972, and together they built a loving home filled with laughter, faith, and cherished memories. Her role as a mother and grandmother was the highlight of her life. There was not ever a time she was not present with encouragement, support, and unconditional love.
She is survived by her children - Christy (Brady) McKee, William Brad (Crystal) Morgan, Lindsey (Adam) Coleman. Grandchildren - Cole Pugh, Hagen Coleman, Lauren Morgan, Rylen Coleman, Maxx McKee, Zaine McKee, and Kailee McKee. Her beloved brother Jimmy (Glenvol) Dickerson, her brother-in-law - Rev. Bobby Lewis, with a host of nieces and nephews. She had a very special relationship with her immediate nieces and nephews - Tina Lewis Holland, Glenn Dickerson, Lori Lewis Moorman, Donna Dickerson Hoffman, and Brian Lewis.
Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents Robert B. (Willie Mae) Dickerson, her beloved sister Iva Nell Lewis, and her in-laws Hubert (Myrtle) Morgan.
Sylvia’s legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and the love she gave so freely. She leaves behind a family who will continue to honor her memories by living with the same compassion, strength, and faith that defined her life.
The Visitation will be Monday, September 15, 2025 at Moments Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. The Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with her nephew, Rev. Brian Lewis, officiating. Burial will follow in Agricola Cemetery. Pallbearers include Glenn Dickerson, Kenny Moorman, Brad Hoffman, Kevin Morgan, Micajah Holland, and Trent Moorman. Honorary pallbearer will be Joel Holland.
