Sylvia Lela Buckley

Sylvia Lela Buckley, age 71, passed away December 18, 2024. She had passion for cooking, especially for her family and those she loved. She was one of a kind, never met a stranger, always welcomed you into her home and if you left hungry....that was your own fault!!  Always the consummate nurturer and would always tell it to you straight.  She will be truly missed by all who were honored to know her.             

She is preceded in death by her parents, Homer and RV Griffin; sisters, Shirley Carter and Ruth Buckley.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Jack Buckley; children, Tammy Buckley, Tony (Melissa) Buckley; grandsons, Calvin and Tyler Buckley; bonus children, John Inabinette, Clifton Overstreet, and Suzi Taylor; sister, Debbie Raybon; numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The Visitation will be Friday, December 27, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Magnolia Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM in the church chapel with Bro. Wake Inabinette and Bro. Joey Heflin officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will include, Tony Buckley, Calvin Buckley, Tyler Buckley, Jimmy Buckley, John Inabinette, and Clifton Overstreet. Honorary bearers include, Donis Wilson and Joey Heflin.
