Susan Rene "Ogden" Smith

It is with deep sorrow and a profound sense of loss that we mourn the passing of Susan Rene “Ogden” Smith, of Neely, Mississippi, who left us on August 21, 2024, at the age of 72. Her departure leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

She will be lovingly remembered by her three sons, Gary Smith JR (Connie Johnson); Mark Smith; John “JC” Smith, (Crystal Smith). Susan is also survived by her sisters, Sharon Ogden and Diane Jones; brother, Mark Ogden; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Susan was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Gary Smith SR; her parents, John Ogden and Doris Benson; daughter-in-law, Regina Smith.

In her final days, Susan was surrounded by the love of family and friends, who will continue to honor her life and remarkable spirit. Her youthful energy and zest for life touched the hearts of many, and her legacy will endure in the memories of those she cherished. While we grieve the tremendous loss of her presence, we find comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her soulmate. 

A private memorial and interment will take place on family land at a later date, where we will gather to celebrate the life of this extraordinary woman.
