Sonny Crawley

Lavier Malcolm “Sonny”  Crawley passed away peacefully at the age of 89. A native of the Howell community and a member of Howell Baptist Church, he passed on November 19, 2024. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Beulah “Totsy” Crawley; son, Joey Crawley; parents, Joseph Jefferson and Ruth Tanner Crawley.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Carole (Mike) Andress; grandchildren, Scott (Christie) Tanner, Todd (Valarie) Tanner, Jeffrey (Melanie) Crawley, Jessie Crawley, and Nina (Jonathan) Spicer; 13 great grandchildren; numerous other extended family and friends.   

The Visitation will be Monday, November 25, 2024 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Howell Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Bro. Branden Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Howell Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers include Scott Tanner, Todd Tanner, Brody Tanner, Noah Fayard, Jeffrey Crawley, and Case Crawley. Honorary Pallbearers are Grady Spicer and Julian. 

The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Todd and Valarie Tanner, owners of Sparrow Hills and all its caregivers. They went above and beyond caring for Sonny. They loved and cared for him greatly, A special thank you to Gentiva Hospice for all their services as well.
