Obituary

Sonja Dearman, age 59, passed away March 28, 2022. She worked for many years as a cook in the fast-food industry. She recently began a career as a Paparazzi Jewelry Representative. She enjoyed line dancing, cooking with her family and passing down recipes to her children, family and friends.  She was an easy-going spirit with a laid-back personality, but could be stern when needed. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed. 

She is preceded in death by her long-time partner, Allen Williams; her grandmother, Docia Murphy; her parents, Willis Alford and Eunice Alford; brother, Doyle Ainsworth;and one of her best friends, Sandra Willoughby;

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Derrick Dearman, Abagail (Ronzie) Dearman Thomas, Cory Dearman and Amanda Dearman; grandchildren, Hayden Dearman, Braxton Dearman, India Dearman and Micah Thomas; siblings, Beverly Renee Abrams, Valrie Guy, Matthew Alford and Eugene Ainsworth; numerous other relatives and friends.                  

The Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
