Shirley Ann Dueitt, age 76, passed away April 7, 2022. She traveled the world as a child with her military family. Her humor and abounding personality allowed her to befriend others wherever she went. She was incredibly talented with celebrating life. Her culinary skills and hospitality blessed numerous people. No moment was ever spared in using her many gifts and opening her home to others. Bowling, quilting, cross stitching, and baking were just a few of her many abilities. She was known as the Tea Party Queen by many. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, the best grandmother ever, sister and dear friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Shirley Cornelson and Annie Maude “Sue” Johnson Cornelson; daughter, Ashley Ann Dueitt Mire; sister, Judy Estell Cornelson.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, John Darrell Dueitt; daughter, Elizabeth Ann “Beth” (Marty) Munley; grandchildren, Lauren Alexandra (Owen) Chambers, Brandon Charles Munley and Anna Claire Munley; brother, George Larry Cornelson; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including dear friend Patty Eubanks.
The Visitation for Shirley Ann Dueitt will be Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home Leakesville. The Funeral Service will begin at 5:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Mike Cochran officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah United Pentecostal Church cemetery.
