Shayla Sheree Stringfellow English, age 46, passed away April 2, 2025. She was a caring and thoughtful daughter, sister, granddaughter, and niece who will be greatly missed. She had an appreciation for the arts, was gifted in art and dance, had a love for ballet and danced with the Tennessee Ballet in her younger years. She loved all animals and had several very loved cats in her lifetime. She had a love for nature and loved the beach and mountains. She also had a love for reading and music. She began her career at 16, graduated from South Alabama with honors, earning a bachelor's degree in business. She worked in business administration for many years in retail doing management and customer service. Coworkers and customers alike praised her on her outgoing, friendly and helpful nature. Her impromptu and thoughtful gifts will be missed. She never needed a reason to give and gave just because she thought you would like it. She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the honor to know her.
She is preceded in death by her father, Teddy Stanley Stringfellow; maternal grandparents, Billy and Ernie Mae Holloman; paternal grandparents, Will and Versie Stringfellow.
Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Angie Turner; brother, Jason Stringfellow (Julia); nephew, Cole Stringfellow (Emily); niece, Carson (Bryce) Ordoyne; grandmother, Juanita Evans; numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
She loved the women at Mary's Song rehab in New Orleans, where she formed many sweet relationships. Their input into her life was invaluable and will forever be appreciated.
The immediate family will hold a private Celebration of Life at her home at 269 Howell Mill Road on Saturday, April 19, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM. The family will accept additional friends and family for a visitation from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
