Sawyer Tomas Steede, age 28, passed away September 28, 2023. He was a 2013 graduate of George County High School and continued his career at Ole Miss, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Education degree. He worked as a First Class Mechanic and Welder for TEIC. When he was not on the road working, he attended Salem Full Gospel Church and enjoyed playing the guitar during worship. He had a wonderful sense of humor, never met a stranger and was everyone’s friend. He was a loving son, brother, fiancé, grandson, uncle, nephew and dear friend who was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, AT “Junior” and Lenora Steede; maternal grandfather, Thomas E. Havard.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Darrell and Frances Steede; fiancé, Steffi Persaud; brother, Brandon Steede; sisters, Cammie Steede, Kristina (Phillip) Eubanks and Haley (Jared) Edins; nieces and nephews, Kailee, Holly, Gracie, Landon, Gavin, Boston, Jaxon, Jayden, Raife, Kipton, Audri Beth, Ace and Izabelle; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Ann Havard; numerous other relatives and friends.
The Visitation will be Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Salem Full Gospel Church. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Bro. Mike Sawyer officiating. Burial will follow in Carter cemetery. Pallbearers include Kolby Rester, Lathan Howell, Cody Smith, Cory Dickerson, Zac Wilkins and Ty Riley. Honorary Pallbearers include Matthew Grady and Patrick Jones.
