Sandra Faye (Brown) Mathis

Sandra Faye Brown Mathis, age 75, of Lucedale, Mississippi passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at George Regional Hospital following a short illness.

She was a lifelong member of Winborn Chapel Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She loved her annual beach trips with her children and grandchildren, enjoyed shopping and her weekly trip to the salon. She was always giving and caring for others. She lived her life daily for the Lord and was always praying for her family and others. She was selfless, compassionate and unwavering in her faith.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Clarence and Sallie Pipkins Brown; siblings, Hubert Brown, Billy Ray Brown, Mae Brown Flurry, Naomi Brown Hudson, Truman Brown, and Margaret Mathis.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Stanley Mathis; children, Tommy (Carlette) Mathis, Nicole Mathis (Robby), and Randy (Heather) Mathis; grandchildren, Daine Mathis, Whitney (Michael) Mixon, Makenzie (Matthew) Cochran, Garrett Mathis, and Raife Mixon; siblings, Carolyn (Ricky) McLeod, Kaye (Glenn) Hudson, DeWayne Brown and Richard (Katie Jo) Brown; numerous other relatives and friends.   

The Visitation will be Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Winborn Chapel Methodist Church from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Rev. John McCay and Rev. Ken Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Winborn Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers include Daine Mathis, Garrett Mathis, Neil Patterson, Michael Mixon, Matthew Cochran, Shawn Hudson and Michael Pugh.
