Rufus Daniel Dye, age 74, passed away May 13, 2026.

He is preceded in death by parents, Henry and Myrtis Dye; step-son, Wayne Strickland; brother, Travis McNair.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Laura Dye; sons, Alex Dye and Aric Dye; grandchildren, Jacob Dye and Samantha Dye; brother, Bruce Dye; numerous other relatives and friends. 

The Visitation will be Tuesday, May 19, 2026 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Pinewood Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 AM in the church sanctuary with Bro. Brandon Dickens officiating. Graveside will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers include, Lynn Smith, Jeremiah Smith, Darren Smith, Danny Turner, Caleb Turner, and Gary Loper.
