Ms. Rose Marie Tanner Heathcoe, age 60, of Hurley, MS passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024, in Hurley. She was born June 19, 1964, in Pascagoula, MS. She will always be remembered as a devoted mother, nana, sister, niece, aunt, and friend.
Rose Heathcoe entered eternal rest as a child of God. She attended Three Rivers Assembly of God Church in Moss Point, MS. Everyone who knew her had the pleasure of knowing a true friend with a heart full of compassion and kindness. Her days started with drinking coffee with her son, Jeff, and then heading to the golf course to spend time with her friends. On weekends you could find Rose at yard sales, shopping retail stores, visiting family, on the sidelines with Joey cheering Kena and Brayden on as they play sports, watching Mama’s Family, using her green thumb to take care of her plants, or lounging on the porch sharing laughs and watching American Idol with her sister, Debbie. She was a small woman, but her spirited soul and love for her family was mighty. Whether laughs were shared, or tears were shed, her wittiness and love for life allowed her to make a new memory at every opportunity.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Irvan (Velma) Tanner; grandparents, Harvey Lee “Bilbo” (Wanda Mae) Goff and Leon (Ada) Tanner.
Those left to cherish her memory include, her sons, Joey (Sara) Hudson, and Jeff Hudson; grandchildren, Houston Roberts, Brayden Hudson, and Kena Hudson; brothers, Criss (Brenda) Tanner, and Robert (Velinda) Tanner; sister, Debbie (Donald) Bourn; Numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, and nieces.
The Visitation will be Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Gene Emswiler officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Cemetery. Pallbearers include Chad Bourn (nephew), Gary Bourn (nephew), Chuck Tanner (nephew), Brayden Hudson (grandson), Houston Roberts (grandson), and Curt Johnson (family friend). Honorary Pallbearers include Donald Bourn (brother-in-law) and Ronald Bourn (brother by choice).

Goff for all of their love and support, Gentiva Hospice and Coastal Family Health-especially Lanea Williams and Hoyt Williamson for all they have done for the continued care of our precious Rose Marie. The family would like to thank all family and friends who have called, texted, extended their sympathies, and provided comfort through food and love during this difficult time. All family and friends are welcome and invited to the services.
