Rosa Maria O'Neal

Rosa Maria O’Neal, age 61, passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her family on April 14, 2025. She took care of everyone's needs before her own. She was selfless. She loved spending time outside, tending her chickens or fixing her flower beds. She never met a stranger and when she loved, she loved hard. Especially her grandchildren. She had a Bachelors Degree in Business with an emphasis in healthcare. She would complain that she didn't find a job in that field, but she got her use of it after all making sure her family's medical needs were met.             

She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur Dale, Sr. and Barbara Johnson; brother, Wilbur Dale Johnson, Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Kevin O’Neal; children, Kevin Ryan (Sesalie) O’Neal, Ashley Lynne O’Neal, Amanda O’Neal, and John (Zoey) Fox; grandchildren, Shane, Ivy, Chandler, Mikayla, Nolan, Demion, DeNareo, and Oakley; siblings, Benita Rhodes (Russell) and Terry (Sheila) Johnson; numerous other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank Arden Hospice for all their love and support over the past few weeks and all the family and friends for the visits, prayers, food, and support during this time.

The Graveside Service will be Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 11:00 AM in O’Neal Cemetery with Bro. Richard Maples and Bro. Kenneth Shelton officiating. The family will accept friends one hour prior to the service. Honorary pallbearers include, Shane O’Neal, Riley Peterman, John Fox, Lance Johnson, and Delaney Johnson.
