Roger H. Harris

Roger H. Harris, age 77, passed away April 2, 2023. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and the Movella Volunteer Fire Dept. He greatly enjoyed time spent outdoors, especially fishing. He was an avid fisherman! He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and dear friend who will be greatly missed.            

He is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Harris; parents, Willie Alfred Harris, Sr. and Eva Jewel Polk Nobles; brothers, Willie Alfred Harris, Jr., Jimmy Nobles, Pam Moffett, William Reid, Jr. and Arvey Reid.   

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Lisa McDonald and Rhonda (Billy) Nichelson; grandchildren, Delaney (Jerry) McDonald, Cheyenne (Vance) Ruebel, Jonathan (Larhonda) Nichelson, Tianna Nichelson and Richard (Tiffany) Nichelson; 7 great grandchildren and 2 on the way; siblings, Curtis Harris, Ronnie Nobles, Charlotte Nobles Swetman, Dangel Harris Henn, Edward Reid, Audrey Harris, Dewey Reid and Wanda Reid Ryan; numerous other relatives and friends.  

The Visitation for Roger H. Harris will be Friday, April 7, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Movella Missionary Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Bro. Joey Reus officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
