Robert Derry Lewis

Robert Derry Lewis, age 67, passed away October 18, 2024. He worked in computer science for many years and spent his pastime outdoors, riding motorcycles and spending time with family. He was a devoted husband, loving son and brother. His passion was being a dedicated father to his son and his friends, dogs, and extended community. He was a loving person with a big heart who will be greatly missed.     

He is preceded in death by his father, George Byrd Lewis, Jr.; paternal grandparents, George B. Lewis, Sr. and Eula Mae Taylor Lewis; maternal grandparents, David Ben Garner, Sr., and Violet Mae Gibbs Garner.  

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Pam Lewis; son, Nathaniel Derry (Mackenzie Lander) Lewis; mother, Hazel Garner Lewis; siblings, Karen Lewis (Fred) Greis, Audrey Lewis (the late David) Gabel, and George B. (Judy) Lewis, III; aunt, Gaynell Williams; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.      

The Visitation will be Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Donnie Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in Agricola Cemetery. Pallbearers include Coale Maples, Cameron Lloyd, Austin Jennings, Dustin Lewis, Jacob Doggett, and Malcolm Griffin. Honorary Pallbearers include Brian Rush, Jeremy Rush, Darrin Rush, Greg Cronier, Matthew Jones, Shawn Reed, Matthew Reed, John Gabel, and Kennen Cook.
