Robert Keith Townsend

Robert “Keith” Townsend, 49, of Hurley, MS, devoted and loving husband and father, left this world on March 8, 2023. 

Keith worked for the University of South Alabama in the IT field, where he also proudly obtained his Master’s Degree in Computer and Information Sciences. He enjoyed working with his hands using skills his grandfather taught him, building and programming computers, tinkering on and trail-riding in his Jeep, video games, science fiction, sharing his hobbies with his daughter, and playing practical jokes. He always will be remembered for how much he loved his wife and daughter and for being the biggest kid at heart. 

Keith was preceded in death by his grandparents, Reverend CJ and Dorothy Townsend and Charlie and Willie Ree Mauldin Atchison.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Kristi; daughter, Isabella; his parents, Harold and Nancy Townsend; siblings, Scott Townsend, Jennifer Capers and Jami (Chris) Segraves; numerous nieces and nephews. 

The Visitation for Robert Keith Townsend will be Monday, March 13, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home.
