Robert Oris Street, age 90, passed away February 3, 2026. A dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend Robert will be remembered for his quiet nature, love of the outdoors and remarkable work ethic. In his younger days, he enjoyed to hunt.
He worked at Ingalls Shipbuilding before going to work for Cumbest Sawmill. He retired after 40 years of loyal service and the sawmill closed down shortly after his retirement.
He is preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy Street and Ernestine Bilbo Street; siblings, Lannie Street, Grover Street, Delores Nelson, Hazel Blackston, Voncile Kennedy and Slater Street.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of over 53 years, Kattie Street; children, Pamela (Douglas) Johnson, Jeremiah (Tonya) Street and JaDameon (Melanie) Street; grandchildren, Jeffery Blackston, Treanna Williams, Brooklyn Street, Charleigh Street, Lailah Street, Amiyah McKinney and Aiden McKinney; great-grandchildren, Kaibrein Williams and Ariana Rivera; brother, Leon Street; numerous other relatives and friends.
A memorial service for Robert Oris Street will be held at a later date.
