Robert Earl Furby

Robert Earl Furby, age 75, passed away March 6, 2023 with his loving family by his side. He proudly served in the United States Army and served in Vietnam. He was also a member of the Moss Point Masonic Lodge #202. He was a talented worker and enjoyed his work as an NCCO Crane Operator. He was an avid reader, liked to hunt and fish and build bird houses. He was a devoted loving husband, loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be dearly missed.          

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Gladys Furby; siblings, Charles “Buddy” Furby, Sr. and Louise Furby Lee.   

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 30 years, Linda Helton Furby; children, Jada Cooper, Amy Furby, Robin Furby Jones, Ian Cooper and Jonathan Furby; numerous grandchildren including a special grandson, Caleb Grant; brothers, Bobby (Linda) Furby and Mickey (Bonnie) Furby; sister, Paula Stampley; special niece and nephews, Andra (Ricky) Levins, Case and Wade Levins; numerous other relatives and friends.   

The Visitation for Robert Earl Furby will be Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Mike Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with military honors. Pallbearers include Ian Cooper, Brian Stinson, Thomas Furby, Charles Furby, Toney Crabtree and Steven Gentry. Honorary Pallbearer include Caleb Grant.      

In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital.
