Robert David Dungan, age 80, passed away March 3, 2025. He was a faithful member of Rocky Creek Church of Christ. He worked over 25 years for Ingalls Shipbuilding as a welder and foreman. He greatly enjoyed woodworking and was a talented craftsman. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents, W.G. and Virginia Dungan; daughter, Angela Gail “Angie” Dungan.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Hilda Faye Moody Dungan; children, Adair Dungan and Ansley (Angela) Dungan; grandchildren, Cade Dungan, Paige (Matthew) Dungan Wentz, Emma Dungan, Max Dungan and Knox Dungan; siblings, William (Donna) Dungan, Raymond (Brenda) Dungan, Frances (Woody) Dickerson, June (Mike) Mathis, Mary Fortenberry, and Betty Williams; dear friends, Joy Eubanks and Linda McKnight; numerous other family members and friends.
The Visitation will be Friday, March 7, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Stephen Crigler officiating. Burial will follow in Rocky Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers include Tim Davis, Heath Davis, Matthew Wentz, Albert Moody, Addison Guidry, and Dayton Davis.
