Obituary
Rev. Richard A. Souza, age 86, a resident of the Benndale community of George County, went home to be with the Lord on July 27, 2023. He was a member of the NRA and he proudly served in the US Army. Richard enjoyed singing, playing guitar, guns, travel and motorcycles. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Souza and Barbara Rogers Souza; twin brother, Robert V. Souza; brother, John Souza; sisters; Mary Beatrice Rachel, Margaret Bishop, “Connie” Yelle and “Dottie” Medeiros.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda Marie Ferreira Souza; his children, Brenda-Lee (Ben) Bentsen, Richard A. (Lee Ann) Souza, Jr. and Barry M. (Lisa) Souza; brothers, Philip Souza and Joseph Souza; grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family and friends.
The Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Biloxi National Cemetery beginning at 9:00 AM with Military Honors.
