Rena Mathis

Jean Rena Mathis, age 64, passed away October 26, 2021. She greatly enjoyed riding horses, hunting, fishing and photography. Her greatest time was spent with family and grand kids. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and sister. Her loving spirit will be greatly missed.   

She is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Allen; grandmother, Grace Rednour.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Steven Jeffrey Mathis; children, Jason Choate, Linda Choate (Jon) Weiderman and Daniel Vandiver; step daughters, Deanna Mathis, Suzzette Mathis and Rebecca Lister; 26 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; siblings, Michael Allen and Mary Needle; other relatives and friends.               

The Memorial Service for Jean Rena Mathis will be Friday, October 29, 2021 beginning at 11:00 AM at Moments Funeral Home, Lucedale with Eric Smith officiating.
