Mrs. Raba was an exceptionally talented seamstress, quilter, cook and the most wonderful person to everyone around her.  In her early years, she worked as a bookkeeper for several banks, the hospital, local garment factories, and a doctor’s office.  Later in life, she and her sisters ran a sewing business, and made beautiful garments for so many people in our community. She created so many exquisite wedding gowns and helped many young ladies’ dreams become reality on their special day.   She gifted so many with her beautiful quilts and other items that will be treasured for generations to come.  She was a Past Matron of the Eastern Star, and a Past Queen of Daughters of the Nile, both service organizations dedicated to helping the less fortunate.  She was truly a blessing to all who were around her, and her passing leaves a tremendous void for everyone who knew her.
