Preston Abie Goff, age 90, passed away December 4, 2024. He proudly served in the United States Army and spent time in Korea. He retired from Keesler as a Civil Service Employee. He was an avid outdoorsman who greatly enjoyed hunting. He was a longtime member and served on the Board of the Mississippi Wildlife Federation. He also enjoyed gardening, and was known for his tomatoes. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and grandfather. He was a faithful Christian man and was a member of the Rocky Creek church of Christ, where he served as a Deacon for many years.
He is preceded in death by his son, Steven Goff; grandson, Nathan Goff; great granddaughter, Emma McDaniel; parents, Levi and Nancy Fairley Goff; siblings, Ethan Stanley “Buddy” Goff, Esther Welford, M.L. Goff, and Maurice Goff.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 69 years, Mary Alice McLeod Goff; sons, Preston A. (Tammy) Goff, Jr., and Mitch (Nancy) Goff; grandchildren, Melissa, Ryan, Logan, Ron, and Laci; great grandchildren, Kynleigh, Gavin, Nolan, Eden, River, Clay, Raylan, Larson, Ethan, Jake, Garrett, Lily, and Aubry; great-great grandson Tate; numerous other relatives and friends.
The Visitation will be Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Stephen Crigler and Bro. Don Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Rocky Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers include Gavin Havard, Ryan Fiveash, Branden Howell, Dustin Havard, Brent Holder, and Ethan Taylor.
