Philip Vernon Miller, age 94, passed away July 3, 2026. He was born in Lubec, Maine in 1931. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He graduated from the Wentworth Institute of Technology and became a design engineer for submarines. He was a builder at heart and enjoyed woodworking and making canoes, as well as hunting and fishing. He will be greatly missed by all who were honored to know him.              

He is preceded in death by his wife, Eileen Miller; parents, Frank and Geneva Miller; brothers, Lauris “Gump” Miller and Robert Miller; step daughter, Annette Lord.     

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Florence Miller; son, Bruce “Linda” Miller; stepchildren, Susan Brown, Robert “Julie” Brown, and Mary Brown-Morris; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.      

The family will have a memorial service at a later date in Lubec, Maine.
