Peggy Joyce Smith-Myers

Peggy Joyce Smith-Myers, age 86, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026 surrounded by her family. 

She was a devoted caretaker, always putting the needs of others before her own. As her family grew up, she lovingly sewed their clothes, a reflection of her care and dedication. She was known for her gentle, loving heart and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband and father to her children, Carvel Smith; husband, Robert “Bob” Myers; parents, Raymond and Velma Thompson Eubanks; siblings, June Peaden, Rodney Eubanks, Jerry Eubanks, and Linda Eubanks; grandchildren, Jessica Mason Smith and Tony Bledsoe. 

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Michelle Smith Holloman and Marsha (Bill) Bledsoe; grandchildren, Brad (Amanda) Bledsoe, Krissy (Bryson) Dawson, Tara (Bryan) Polston, and Kaitlyn (Bryant Christian) Bledsoe; great grandchildren, Chandler Bagley, Riley Bagley, Michael Smith, Zach (Katie) Smith, Makayla Bledsoe, Trevor Bledsoe, Mady Dawson, Addy Bledsoe, Jaxon Bledsoe, Makenleigh Bledsoe, Braxton Bledsoe, Logan (Kaia) Campbell, Kelsey Polston, Tynleigh Polston, Bryson Polston, Krew Polston, Ella Kait Odom, Addy Christian, Amelia Odom, and Jaxon Christian; great-great grandchildren, Blakeleigh Bagley, Brystol Bagley, Newt Bagley, and Finley Smith; numerous other relatives and friends.             

The Visitation will be Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Monday, January 12, 2026 beginning at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Brandon Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Holmes Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.     

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in honor of Krew Polston.
