Olivia D. "Lois" King Obituary

Olivia D. “Lois” King, age 67, passed away on July 7, 2026. Lois had a creative spirit and a remarkable eye for crafts, especially when making beautiful wreaths and floral arrangements. She loved spending time thrifting, searching for treasures at yard sales, and browsing Goodwill for unique finds. Although in the past she worked many jobs outside the home, her greatest joy and purpose was serving her family. She was known for preparing delicious gumbo, homemade dumplings, and cakes that brought everyone together around the table. Above all, Lois cherished her family, who were truly the light of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.


She is preceded in death by her husband, Alton King; daughter, Crystal Lynn King; parents, James and Hazel Parker; Brothers, JD Parker, Van Parker, and Norman Parker.


Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Newton (Kim) King, LaShanda King and George (Erica) King; grandchildren, Brittany (Tyler) Cooley, Blake (Cassie) King, Justin (Payton) Cooley, Dalton (Katie) Erkhart, Brooklyn King, Bailey (Timothy) King, Rebecca (Bryan) Buckley, Austin Buckley, Piper King, Gage King, Rayleigh King, Tuff King, and Olivia King; great grandchildren, Emersynn Cooley, Maelynn Rachel, Frankie King, Saylor Cooley, Cash King, Rawlin Rachel, John Daniel Cooley, Addison Lindeen, Hailyn Buckley, Isabella Erkhart, Harper Lindeen, and Baby Cooley on the way; sister, Charlotte (Albert Lee) Shephard; brother, Anthony (Darlene) Parker; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  


The Visitation will be Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Friday, July 10, 2026 beginning at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Caleb Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Methodist Church Cemetery.
