Nell J. Cooley Long, age 91, passed away on July 9, 2026.

She is preceded in death by her husband Marion William Cooley Sr; sons, Owen Jeffery Cooley, and Keith Randall Cooley; great granddaughter, Makenzie Hope Crager; siblings, John Milton “Buddy” Crocker, Jr., James Laverne Crocker, Donald Frankin Crocker, Graham Crocker, Dorsey Crocker, Marilyn Dueitt, Willie Grace Griffin, and Melba Beech.    

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Kenneth Long; children, Marion William “Bill” (Deb) Cooley, and Joyce Cooley (Frank) Fallon; nine grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.

The Visitation will be Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Mt. Calvary United Pentecostal Church.  The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah United Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Phil Beech, Brandon Dueitt, Allen Dueitt, Brian Dueitt, Shawn Bice, Jamie Bice, Caden Crager, and Brantson Crager. Honorary Pallbearers include Bill Cooley, Matthew Freeman, and Ryan Crager.
