Myrna Ann DuBose, age 75, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026.
Myrna was a devoted mother, grandmother, companion, coworker, and friend. She dedicated more than 50 years of her life to serving others as a Registered Nurse, touching countless lives through her compassion, strength, and unwavering commitment to care. Nursing was not just her profession, it was her calling.
She was a Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and a Majority Member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, organizations that reflected her commitment to service, leadership, and mentorship.
Outside of her work and service, Myrna lived life with energy and adventure. She greatly enjoyed paintball, embraced opportunities to travel the world, and created lasting memories through her love of exploration and new experiences. Her adventurous spirit and vibrant personality will be remembered by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vaden and Myrn’l DuBose; her brothers, Kenneth DuBose and Thomas DuBose; and her beloved granddaughters, Addyline Marie Bufkin and Shelby Ann Hickman.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Laura (Pink Jr) Duckworth, Caroline Bufkin, and Joshua (Cierra) Bufkin; grandchildren, Pink Duckworth III, Zachary (Emily) Duckworth, Steven Duckworth, Emily Duckworth, Wyatt Duckworth, Izabella Bufkin, Jannelle Bufkin, and Annalise Bufkin; companion, Arthur Games; along with numerous other relatives, coworkers, and dear friends.
The Graveside Service will be Saturday, February 28, 2026 beginning at 11:00 AM at Refuge Cemetery with Bro. Dean Box officiating.
