Michael Robbins, age 53, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 22, 2025. He grew up in the Rocky Creek Community and was a 1990 graduate of George County High School where he played football and was a member of the power lifting team. He continued his football career at Delta State University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. He joined the Mississippi State Highway Patrol in 1997 and retired after 25 years in 2022. He owned and operated R & R security and was a member of Bexley Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman, steward of the land, and gave back in planting trees. “Societies grow great when old men plant trees, the shade of which they know they will never sit in.” Most importantly, he loved his family beyond measure, and he will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Sherria Eubanks Miller; brother-in-law, Mark Anthony Cook.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Phyllis Cook Robbins; children, Mason Michael (Shelby) Robbins, Logan (Macie) Robbins and Walker (Vallory) Robbins; grandchildren, Rhode Robbins, and Gatlin Robbins; father, Charlie (Shirley) Robbins; brother, Chuck (Tiffany) Robbins; numerous other relatives and friends.
