Michael D. Fenton

Michael Dwayne Fenton, age 52, passed on to glory on September 20, 2021. He was born on July 24, 1969 in Satsuma, Alabama. He was a faithful member of Evangel Temple Church and greatly enjoyed his time serving the Lord. Michael had many stories to tell about his uncle Johnny H. Booth, whom he adored and lost too early. He would sometimes text Thelma (Johnny’s wife) and ask if his uncle Johnny would be proud and she would say yes because she was proud of him.  

He is preceded in death by his uncles, Johnny H. Booth, Oliver George, Tim Ward and Allen Ward; brother, Terry W. Fenton.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Loretta Backlin; children, Michaela (Trevor) Allmon and Jared Fenton; one grandchild, Ryker Lee Allmon; father, Kenneth (Dianne) Fenton; beloved aunt, Thelma George; mother, Martha Evans; sister, Kenda; numerous other relatives and friends.

The Visitation will be Monday, September 27, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, September 28, 2021 beginning at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Freddie Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Pipkins Cemetery.
