Matthew D. Brenton, age 65, passed away May 5, 2021. He is a native of Colorado and moved to California at a young age. He left California when he joined the United States Air Force in July 1974. He worked over 30 years in the Aerospace industry. He recently moved to the George County area to be closer to family. He enjoyed cooking, trying new recipes, learning and researching, aerospace and space, computers and tech. Above all, he greatly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Matthew and Doris Eileen Brenton; sister, Dianna Lynn Brenton; maternal grandparents, Johnie and Lola Blickenstaff; paternal grandparents, Matthew and Alice Brenton.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 41 years, Debbie Kay Brenton; sons, Kevin Matthew (Crystal) Brenton and Shaun Ryan (Meagan) Brenton; grandchildren, Leah Grace, Caylin Marie, Andrew Blake, Landon Thomas and Madison Nicole Brenton; sister, Roxanna Bea Manjarrez; numerous other relatives and friends.
The Visitation for Matthew D. Brenton will be Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow beginning at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Fred Odom officiating. The Graveside Service for Matthew D. Brenton will be Wednesday, May 12, 2021 beginning at 1:30 PM at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort, Alabama with military honors.
