Matilda Jenkins, age 66, passed away June 19, 2021. She was a 1973 graduate of George County High School where she was a member of the FHA, FBLA, BETA, Journalism club and the paper staff. She also competed in the Jr. Miss program. She furthered her education at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. She was a member of Barton Assembly of God for many years where she taught Sunday School and was an active member of the Missionnettes Program. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and visiting others. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and sister who will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Nettie W. Page Holley.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Johnny Issak Jenkins; children, Amy (Robert) Brown and Anthony Jenkins; grandchildren, Trevor Blake (Michaela) Allmon, Devin “Della” Shea (Johnny) Luna and Morgan Issac Brown; great grandchildren, Nathan Josiah Luna, Ryker Lee Allmon and Wynter Rose Ybarra; father, Dallas Holley; sisters, Marsha (Mike) Alexender and Evelyn (Mark) Read; numerous other relatives and friends.
The Visitation for Matilda Jenkins will be Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow beginning at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Freddie Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Agricola Cemetery.
