Mary Inda (Turner) Herndon

Mary Turner Herndon, age 88, of Chickasaw, Alabama passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 11, 2020 with her loving family by her side. She was a faithful member of Chickasaw United Methodist Church. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Floyd Herndon; parents, Samuel David and Alma Claire Etheridge Turner and four siblings.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, William D. (Pam) Herndon, Robert Allan (Patty) Herndon, Thomas J. (Rhonda) Herndon, Shirley (Bob) Cantrell and Mary Paula (Sib) Howell; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.            

The Visitation for Mary Herndon will be Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM at Chickasaw United Methodist Church in Chickasaw, Alabama. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Bryan McGrew and Rev. Dave Rhodes officiating. A Graveside Service will follow at 2:30 PM in McLeod-Magnolia Cemetery in Leakesville, Mississippi.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Mary Herndon Memorial Fund at Chickasaw United Methodist Church.
