Mary Claudette Havens

Mary Claudette Havens, age 70, passed away July 20, 2025. She worked for many years with the George County School District and served as Cafeteria Manager at Rocky Creek Elementary School until her retirement.  She was a member of Refuge of Grace church, a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend in the community.  

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Claude and Isabelle McDuffie; sister, Thelma Williamson; brothers, Everette McDuffie, Horace McDuffie, Danny McDuffie, and Charlie McDuffie.

Those left to cherish her memories include husband, Gerald “Jerry” Havens; sons, Gerald (Chrissy) Havens, Preston (Kristen) Havens, and Brian (Amanda) Havens; grandchildren, Justice (Heaven) Havens, Tanner (Madison) Havens, Tori, Blaze, Presley, Ty, Paisley, Trinity, Kaleb, Elisha, and Jachin Havens; three great grandchildren; siblings, Eugene (Jeannie) McDuffie, Jerry (Sandy) McDuffie, Larry McDuffie, Randy (Delores) McDuffie and Linda Thompson; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

The Visitation will be Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM with Bro. John Dyess officiating. Burial will follow in Havens Dairy Cemetery. Pallbearers include her grandsons Justice, Tanner, Kaleb, Elisha, Blaze, Ty and Jachin Havens.
