Marjorie Jean Baxter

Marjorie Jean Baxter, age 85, passed away April 26, 2021. She was born August 25, 1935 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio to the late Mr. Robert C. and Mrs. Gladys Nichols. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Kent State University in Education and furthered her career with a Master’s Degree from the University of Wyoming. She was also proud to serve as a Military wife for many years. After retirement, she found enjoyment working with family and community genealogy. She was an adventurous soul who loved to travel and spent time all over the country. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.                

She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Baxter; parents, Robert. C. and Gladys Atwell Nichols.   

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Michael (Amy) Baxter and Anita (Richard) Reaves; grandchildren, Ian and Sarah Baxter; brothers, Robert (Muriel) Nichols and John (Candi) Nichols; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.                       

The Visitation for Marjorie Baxter will be Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow beginning at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Roger Gilbert officiating.  Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Pallbearers include Michael Baxter, Ian Baxter, Jake Marino, Donnie Baxter, Rickie Stringfellow and James Lee Baxter.
