Marion Lynfield "Skipper" Smith Jr.

Marion Lynfield “Skipper” Smith, Jr., age 73, passed away May 27, 2024. He was a member of Benndale Baptist Church, and greatly enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather who will be missed.                

He is preceded in death by his father, Marion Lynfield Smith Sr.; brother, David Eugene Smith.    

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Heather Smith; children, Lynn (Christa) Smith, Darren (Melinda) Smith, and Sierra Marsh; mother, Bobby Jean Smith; grandchildren, Natalie Michelle Smith, Jeremiah Walter, Kaitlyn Grace, Abigail Ellen, and Aaron Donell Smith; numerous other relatives and friends.   

The Visitation will be Saturday June 1, 2024, at Moments Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Lamar Loper officiating. Burial will follow in Pinewood Cemetery. Pallbearers include, Tommy Hall, Gary Loper, Jeremiah Smith, Lee Farmer, Danny Turner, and Aubrey Farmer.
