MacKinsey Vail Chatten

MacKinsey Vail Chatten, age 19, passed away on March 29, 2025.

Kinsey was born and lived in Colorado until she moved with her family to Lucedale, Mississippi, in 2023. She attended Journey Church and enjoyed being a part of the youth group there. She loved spending time with her family and dog, Rylie, on her property: “her favorite place”.

She was preceded in death by her Nana, Bev Vallejos; Grandad, Robert Chatten, and Papa, Thomas McDonnell.

Kinsey shared her life with and is dearly remembered by her Dad, Scott; Mom, Tyler; sister, Faith; brother, Bryce; Granny, Tamera Chatten; the Emmitt family including Auntie Colleen, Uncle Ed, cousins, Rachel, Mike, Ashley, Eddie; numerous extended family and friends across the country with sweet memories of life with Kinsey.

Kinsey’s journey on this earth was one filled with love, compassion, and a smile that people felt in their souls. Kinsey loved the Lord with all of her heart. She had a gift of kindness that left a lasting impact on all who crossed her path.

A Memorial Service and celebration of her life will be held Friday, May 16, 2025, at Journey Church beginning at 6:00 PM with Pastor Barry Jemison and Pastor Mark Price officiating.
