Louis Webb “Jack” Smith, age 88, passed away peacefully June 26, 2021 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Stonewall, Mississippi, to the late Mr. Louis and Virgie Smith. He served in the United States Army and spent most of his life working as a Welder and Welding Foreman. He settled in Helena, Mississippi where he and his wife, Lillie, raised three sons. He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, hunting and coaching softball. Mr. Smith was a faithful member of Barton Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Virgie Smith.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Lillie M. Pruitt Smith; sons, Louis (Gale) Smith, Joey (Belinda) Smith and Steve (Tammy) Smith; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters, Earline (Edward) Reeves and Faye White; brother, Ray (Ruth) Smith; numerous other relatives and friends.
The Visitation for Louis Webb “Jack” Smith will be Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Agricola Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will follow beginning at 5:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Bro. Perry Smith officiating. Burial with Bro. Brad Howard officiating will follow in Agricola Cemetery. Pallbearers include Dan Box, Scott Brown, Stanley Jordan, Lamar Gordon, Tim Faggerd and Nick Taylor.
