Lori Smith, 53, passed away June 14, 2020. She was a 1984 graduate of George County High school and continued her education at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. She was a member of Watermark Congregational Methodist church. She greatly enjoyed her job at Huntington-Ingalls where she served as Administrative Assistant. Lori was a proud 16-year Breast Cancer Survivor. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and Mimi who will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Cecil Smith; brother-in-law, Gary Goff; maternal grandparents, Burnice and Minnie Miller; paternal grandparents, Charlie and Hester Breland.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 22 years, Alan Smith; children, Camryn Smith, Mallory (Thomas) Davis, Whitney (Darrell) Havard and Colby (Nikkie) Smith; grandchildren, Peyton Havard, Brentley Havard, Tanner Havard, Trey Davis and Averie Davis; parents, Tommy G. and Beth Breland; brother, Philip (Deniece) Breland; mother-in-law, Patsy Smith; sisters-in-law, Sharon (Gary) Goff and Karen (Randy) Jackson; nieces and nephews, Amy, Inkey, Kailee, Kane, Josh, Jessica, Braxton, Abbie, Addie, Katie, Jim, Jacob and Chandler; numerous other relatives and friends.
The Visitation for Lori Smith will be Friday, June 19, 2020 at Shady Grove Baptist church from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 20, 2020 in the church sanctuary with Bro. Scott Rogers and Rev. Brandon Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove cemetery. Pallbearers include Eric Crooker, Danny Whatley, Philip Breland, Chandler Smith, Colby Smith, Darrell Havard, Thomas Davis and Jim Berry. Honorary Pallbearers include Peyton Havard, Brentley Havard, Tanner Havard and Trey Davis.
